        2008 - Rules and Regulation - 2008  

1.            Perch fee is $125 per bird or 5 for $500

2.            Entry fee is $200 due when bird is shipped to race.

3.            Must 18 years or older to enter.

4.           Ship birds between April 15 and July1.

5.            PRIZE MONEY FROM ENTRY FEE ($200) AND THE AUCTION (INCLUDING BOND MONEY) WILL BE DIVIDED AS FOLLOWS:  FIRST 30%-SECOND 20%-THIRD 15%-FOURTH 10%-FIFTH 5% AND 6^TH THRU 25^TH 1%.

6.           Cash or Travelers checks only will be accepted at the SD Classic Race.

7.            First 300 entries will be accepted.

8.           All birds that are not bonded will be auctioned off and sold to the highest bidder.  Highest bidder becomes the owner and takes bird home after the race and receives 90% of prize money from the Auction/Bond prize fund.  Breeder receives 10%.

9.            he beginning bid for the birds not bonded will be $300.

10.        You can bond your bird for $300 (before the race) and it will not go into the auction and you will receive 100% of prize money from the Auction/Bond prize fund.  You also get your bird back after race.

11.        Race will be flown from 300 miles east, weather permitting.

12.        The perch fee will be used for expenses.  10% will be deducted from all other prize funds including pools.

13.         All birds will be vaccinated for PMV and POX.

14.        Any unforseen circumstances will be settled by the San Diego Classic Club Board of Directors.

15.         A 350 mile Classic Derby will be flown two weeks later for all birds that fly the Classic and are nominated.  The owner of the bird can nominate their bird for the 350 mi. Derby prior the Classic Race for $100 or $500 after the Classic Race.

16.         Prizes for the 350 mi. Derby will be split 40%-30%-20%-10%.  The birds will be released with birds from the Triple Crown Iron Eagle and the Holiday Cup Super Birds.

17.         ***New Mega Classic race:  All birds nominated from the SD Classic Race, Holiday Cup Race, and The Triple Crown are eligible for the Mega Classic.  Birds can be nominated for $25 prior to the 300 mi. race or $100 after the 300 mi. race.  These birds will compete with birds from all three races.

18.         The Benzing “Atis” one loft timer and program will be used.

19.         Training results for the SD Classic will be on our website, www.triplectownclassic.com or www.sandiegocombine.com.
