1.
Must be a member of a Racing Pigeon Club and in good standing. Must be atleast 18 years old.
2.
Perch fee is 5 birds for $500 plus 1 extra bird free or $125 per bird.
3.
Entry fee is $300 when bird is shipped to race.
4. Ship birds between
March 1 and July 1, 2011. Replacement birds accepted until Aug. 1.
5.
First prize for the 300 mi. race is $20,000 and prizes will be paid to the top 10% of birds shipped to the race. 1st
prize based on 200 birds shipped to race.
6. Cash or travelers checks
only accepted at the race.
7. 300 birds is maximum accepted.
8. This year there will be a bird Calcutta on shipping night.
9. The race will be 300 miles, Casa Grande, Az.
10. There
will 15% deducted from entry, pools, and Calcutta for expenses.
11. All birds vaccinated
for PMV upon arrival. 9th and 10th flights clipped and pulled. All birds poxed after all birds have been
accepted.
12. Any unforeseen circumstances will be settled by the San Diego Classic
Club Board of Directors.
13. The 350 mile Superbird Race will
be flown 2 weeks later for all birds that fly the Classic and are nominated. The owner of the bird can nominate their bird for the Superbird Race for $100 prior to the Classic Race or for $200 after the race.
14. Prizes for the Superbird Race will be split 40-30-20-10. Birds will be released with birds
from the Holiday Cup, Triple Crown, and California Classic.
15. Mega Classic Race:
All birds from the SD Classic, Holiday Cup, Triple Crown, and the California Classic are eligible for the Mega Classic Race.
Birds can be nominated for $25 prior to the 300 mi. race or $100 after the 300 mi. race.
16. Training results for the SD Classic will be on our website, www.sandiegoclassic-holidaycup.com. Our training and race results are under Wincom.
